It was the end

They came in the night

They took her away,

They left her in

A very dark place,

She suffered trauma

Psychosis and fear,

All she remembers

Us the terror and tears,

Post traumatic syndrome,

She was now in a room

It felt so safe and warm,

It felt like a womb,

Cradled and fed

She was taken care of,

Then one day in come a being

He bowed his head,

He led her to another room

Where other people were,

He opened a window

It showed them earth,

They were in a space ship

They were in space,

Then they saw a solar flare

It was the end of the human race,

The being looked at them

And said we couldn’t save you,

For those there on earth

This is the very end,

So you’ll start a new life

On a planet beyond the stars,

You are all the people

With love and peace in your hearts,

A new beginning,

Time for a new start,

Time for humanity

To now play it’s part,

In the galactic milieu,

Time that mankind,

Discovered the truth

That it’s not alone,

She could hardly breathe

She was so confused indeed,

She looked at earth again

Witnessing mankind’s end again,

And again and again

And now they’d have to start over again,

Everyone shared the same trauma

But also the same relief,

That they were survivors

And now we’re the new pilgrims,

They were now pioneers

Now there was no longer time for fear,

She said they could not save our race

But they chose to save us,

We must now rise to this

So humanity can continue to exist,

So that somehow and soneway, mankind will go on in the end.
