Bad days

Bad few days in life

It feels so dark

And that’s not right,

Not sure why this is

Although the life,

That I choose to live

Is so hard every day,

It grinds me down

In different ways,

And positivity falters

And I end up on my knees,

At the sacrificial alter

Of anguish and despair,

There is nobody there

To help me, I am all alone,

In the darkest zone

Even when at home,

Yet nobody knows

For I am an expert in disguise,

I can hide it all

From other people’s eyes,

No one sees the tears I cry

It’s just I and I,

Fighting a desperate fight

To survive the tough life,

And to make it through

These bad days and nights.
