Tough self love and truth

I listen to you intently

You tell me how you suffer so much,

From anxiety and depression

You lack so much self love,

You blame the world for everything

You externalise you problems,

But the problems aren’t external

They are rooted deep within,

Yes people will abuse and use you

They’ll try to bully and control what you do,

The mind fuck you and twist thing

They offer up this poison daily,

But they can’t force you to drink it

It’s you that makes that choice

Is it because somehow you’re addicted?

Is it because you don’t use your voice?

Playing the victim is so much easier

Than owning the truth of what you do,

Maybe it’s time to take a good look

And face up to the truth,

That depression is a chemical imbalance

But drugs are not the sole cure,

You need help to delve within you

And find what’s at the source,

To discover where the problems started

It’s within you mind and psyche somewhere,

Maybe you don’t want to find this truth

Maybe subconsciously you’re scared,

I could empathise and say it’s everybody else

Or I could say it’s all on you,

But the truth it’s probably a bit of both

But the cure still remains within you,

You have to confront your demons

Face your monsters face to face,

And not try to destroy them

But see them understand them and with good grace,

Commit them to the deepest recesses never to be seen again,

And then forgive yourself

For allowing them to cause you so much pain,

And the same applies to those outside in the harsh world

Disregard them and scrape them all off

Then forgive yourself for allowing them in

That’s why you are so lost,

And believe in yourself and respect yourself

You’re the creator of your own story,

No one else can write it but they can have an effect in you

Do be careful who you let in and be strong

And understand the truth,

Only you can live and be who you want to be

And if you’re driven then you can’t be stopped,

Be your own God my friend

And be your own master too,

Then work on the problems within yourself ,

Without feeling your a victim

Create a story of the greatest ever love,

Where you finally fall in love with you

And give yourself real self respect,

And trust and believe that you are good enough in everyway,

That’s when your issue will heal

And hopefully you’ll feel better again,

So yes I listen to and hear what you say

And will help you in everyway,

Because I am you’re friend believe that

And I am here for you today and for ever and always.
