Anger in grief

We get angry during grief

Looking for someone to blame,

As if in some way that may change,

The outcome or help us heal

But deep down we know that’s not real

It’s just a reflection of the pain we feel,

But cannot process or extrapolate

Grief can be the most complex state,

To deal with or to work through

It leaves us heartbroken and confused,

As to why loss happens and why we cannot do

Anything to stop it and why life’s so cruel.

One response to “Anger in grief”

  1. We have to accept loss but when the loss was unnecessary, then it is right to get angry.
