Happy New Year it’s another chance

Another opportunity to advance,

A chance to do good and help each other

Another year to unify as sisters and brothers,

And combine to bring about change

A society far more fair and equally for all,

One that campaigns upon climate change issues and calls,

For people to stand up and demand peace

And for governments, media, and corporations to seek,

A better way of serving us making demands

For a better system to be governing our lands,

That does what’s right and not what makes them rich

We can demonstrate on the streets for this,

In a sense of spirituality, kindness and love

Letting them know that enough is enough,

And that as much as we appreciate the good old past year

We must find hope rather than negativity and fear,

And build something better in which we can all trust

Full of good hearts that are ready to share and almost ready to bust,

In a show of compassion that is honourable and just.
