The power of the written word

Conveyed in smart minds that had heard,

The wisdom and intelligence

It can make a world of difference,

But too often because of dull minds

The power of the written word is denied,

By those who simply can’t define

The importance of their importance,

They can’t revel in the substance,

Because they’re too shallow to feel

Or to understand their meaning,

And so the power of words leaves them dry.
