You were told and warned about nineteen eighty four,

And you laughed it off or you ignored

And now the surveillance state and authoritarianism is beating at the door,

You said it wouldn’t happen, couldn’t happen but you were wrong

Right up until the time it did and you stated on and on,

That nineteen eighty four was just far fetched fiction

And those who did not understand that were dumb,

But now you’re being oppressed by the authoritarian gun,

So why is it you’re so blinkered and unable to see or realise the truth,

That we need to stand against this dystopian social rule.
