I planted spring flowers out today

To brighten up life and bring a ray,

Of sunshine into cloudy dismal rain

So I can enjoy them putting on a display,

Of colour and beauty with the delicate petals,

And it reminds me of just how beautiful

This world could be and it gives me a little peace,

Sitting and watching while meditating

On loving life rather than hating.
