I lived my life in my own way,
Listened to punk music that others thought strange,
I questioned everything every step if the way,
Made my own mind up and at every stage.
I won’t be lead,
I won’t be ruled,
I won’t be oppressed,
Or used as a tool,
I am happy living life unconventionally,
As makes me feel happy
And it makes me feel free.
I chose to wear black much of the time,
But then there were moments
I would step out of line,
Zippy bandage trousers
Or some times suites,
Confusing everybody
Including other punks too,
But I have never been a one for a uniform,
Never been one for conforming to the norm,
I live my life in my own way,
Day to day,
Stage by stage.
I won’t be lead,
I won’t be ruled,
I won’t be oppressed,
Or used as a tool,
I am happy living life unconventionally,
As makes me feel happy
And it makes me feel free.
I rediscovered my spiritual side,
But remain an Anarchist on the existential side,
I am totally into to Buddha who preaches kindness everyday
And spreading love in an unconditional way
And it freaks people out when you explain it to them,
But as I say we are all free humans
Living an experience, so I do it in the light,
Just trying to practice being good and doing right,
I won’t be lead,
I won’t be ruled,
I won’t be oppressed,
Or used as a tool,
I am happy living life unconventionally,
As makes me feel happy,
And it makes me feel free.
Now I am not a person that causes offence
But I am a person who defends,
The right to be normal or different,
Live your own life and ignore your preaches and your goverments,
For you come this way but once each time,
So use your own thoughts and your own mind,
You were blessed by being given free will,
So be use it to do good and not to do I’ll.
I won’t be lead,
I won’t be ruled,
I won’t be oppressed,
Or used as a tool,
I am happy living life unconventionally,
As makes me feel happy
And it makes me feel free
And that’s the quirky me.
