A world of confusion

We live in a world of confusion

Of tangential thinking

That defies any kind of reason

Environmentalism, equality

Same old wars and divided religion

And none of this helps mankind unite

In fact megalomaniac leaders divide

Starving millions still left to die

While poverty driven communities cry

For so many things that they’re denied

Yet somehow one percent of mankind strive

And master how their wealth they can hide

Meanwhile I refuse to take sides

I prefer to look people in the eye

And state I am tired of all the lies

So choose to be my own authority

Living existentially consciously

Aware and awaken and refusing to play a part

Of living in a world of brokenhearts.

  2. This is a lovely poem.

Money really does make the world go round… or so they say. I wish some people have the strength to not worship it.
