We walk along the beach coast line
bask in the pure radiant sunshine
holding hands and making plans
feeling between our toes the sand
this moment it was oh so perfect
We never wanted it to end.

we sat on rocks and watched the gloaming
as the sun began to set.
Looking out at the horizon,
where the sky and sea meet there
for a moment we were living life without a single care
we were into each other and the moment
beautiful precious time we shared.

But things like this moment never last
and I sit here once again and see the vast
ocean as it ebbs and flows
and I wondered where did my love go
I look at the sky it seems so golden
i wonder now in this moment
as the rays of filtered through clouds
is my love at peace now
I hope she is but is sadly missed
and I still recall the final kiss
the one where we both said goodbye
as she slipped away into the night.
