Is this life a dream state
is this life illusion
are the decisions we make
borne out of confusion.
Do we simply follow
or are we seeking to discover
a life with a lot more meaning
or are we just trying to recover,
the spiritual, from whence we came
before we were actually born
or trying to remember past lives
to learn lessons from.
Are we seeking guidance from the universe
or we trying to get through this life
trying not to suffer hurt.
In our minds is there confusion
or is it all simple enough for you
do you believe you over think things
or think your uncovering the truth.
Are you on a mission to find love
or are you in possession of it now
is it for all of humanity
or just an individual.
Can you love your enemies
can you forgive their sins
or are you the type that holds grudges
and wait for the judgement to begin.
Do you find happiness in the simple things
that we see in life
or are you more demanding
and prefer the materialistic type.
These questions don’t define us
but must give us a clue
to who we are and what we want
as individuals.
The questioning of self
the self analysis I find
essential to my soul connect
and for the purifying of the mind.
And when I dream I astral travel
throughout the universe
to find answers to the questions
in a never ending search
for although the answers are within
I know this to be true
sometimes you need to step out of the box
to discover the true you.
