The life we live the loves we share
the moments spent with those we care
filled with laughter filled with light
I hold close to me through days and nights.
When times get hard and I get stressed
I think of those who have less
suffer more, unfortunate
not lucky enough to get the right breaks.
Though life is tough I know,
I am blessedto have people around whom I know
I am invested totally in
and it is the same with them,
Because we share a love amongst family and friends.
Supporting each other, we help each other through
good times, bad times, we are there to soothe
each others furrowed brows
or after being battered black and blue,
by the battles we fight in life
standing up for what we perceive is right,
living each moment as it comes
the past has gone the future unplanned.
But holding on tight we stay strong
and wait for the happy times to come along
then we rejoice and sing songs
of the journey we have just all been on
reflecting on the challenging days
and preparing for more struggles along the way
for this is what life is all about
experiencing all emotions with out a doubt
love and heartbreak
joy and pain
laughter, tears,
it may seem insane
but how can you say you have ever lived
if you don’t experience everything.
open your arms and let love in
for there’s much more to be experiencing.
So don’t try to run
don’t try to hide
instead shine your light through your darkest nights.
