Like a spider you spun your silken web
amongst the branches and the trees
and in the morning gloamings wonders
I never saw a thing
though dew drops glistened and hung like pearls
I failed to see the signs
now caught up in your spiders web
I am here for you to dine.
Feast on me as you will
for I am held captive by your thread
you suck the very life from me
and left me here for dead.
There was no look of mercy
or compassion in your eyes
and my macerated body stifled any cries.
This is a warning to those out there
who walk the same path that I chose
beware the spiders web my friends
or suffer the same woes.
I understand the underlying theme and it is true, beware. Well done, sir!
