The saddest truth about life is because we live in impermanence even the brightest hottest flames of love can burn out and dwindle into embers. Because of duality we will suffer heartache as well as love for we have to experience both to appreciate love. But even though this is a sad but true statement of life we should also understand that these truths will make us stronger, more learned and more gracious in the end.
