The arrogance that leads to extinction

We are part of a matrix, where everything lives as part of a system, where things don’t just take but also give, we are part of an ecology where even plants feel and think and take in sunlight and give out nutrients. So why is it we can’t see as a humanity that we rely on this system where trees help us breathe and bees pollinate the plants that gives us food to eat are we so blind, to all these connected, links that are vital for us all each day, to survive unto the next. I mean, it’s simple, when you open your eyes, it’s not that complex, everything on this earth somehow is alive, and everything relies on everything else, but humanity is the one living thing that only thinks about it self. You take animals, they only kill for food when hungry and if they’re not hungry then they won’t eat you, but man kills for far more than just food. Man kills for pleasure, power and greed, and we eat for gluttony and get obese, and leave the rest of humanity to starve to death out of greed, it’s  amazingly so hard to believe that any species can be as callous as this. So when I see this I ask myself what makes us think we are top, of the evolutionary chain because we are not, for we don’t even know our role in life, within Gaia, within the matrix of nature and everything that lives and exists within a universe that miraculously was formed to support life like you and me.

The truth is our universe and how it came about, is still an unknown question to us and the answers we have, are full of doubts, so what makes us think we have the knowledge, when we know nothing at all. What makes us think we are superior when we simply know nothing at all, our arrogance and ignorance is the most dangerous thing about us and our plight to stay alive and in existence, it’s  these flaws that in the end will bring about our own extinction and we will only have ourselves to blame and nothing else so we should feel ashamed. To be given such a chance and to just throw it away, because we did not understand ourselves.

  3. Wish the mankind understood these basic facts… Species wouldn’t be extinct, There would be no wars and the earth wouldn’t have been pushed to the margin

  4. Like your thoughtfulness in writing. But when as you savor that beautiful piece you bite that unsavory bitterness and wonder where that came from? Would you keep the language beautiful as well? Thank you.
