It’s not the colour of our skin
Our creed or beliefs
That defines our benevolence
Or the good people we aim to be
It’s the actions we choose
And the decisions we make
That define our divine purity and grace
It’s not the words that we choose
But the love we show
That will see us transcend when the time comes to go
And face our maker and to justify our life
When we realise it’s us we see eye to eye
You can’t make excuses or try to lie
Because you will be your own judge
In the afterlife.
