I often try to appease
The anger judgement and yearnings in me
To quell the negativity that resides Deep inside of me.
The side of life that comes from dark
Two sides of our duality
That leaves us down and leaves us sad
A side of us that is not bad
but just another side that’s weak.

I try my best to release
The love happiness and peace inside of me
To exude the positivity and the light That I know is inside of me
The side of light that shines so bright
Two sides of our duality.
A side that’s joyful filled with compassion and love
A side of us that defines us as good
But is often misunderstood.
Like yin and yang it’s tempered with bad
Something everybody has
Deep within their very being
the art is the knowing and the seeing
So that the good in us outweighs the bad
leaves us happy instead of sad.
