I disagree, if this post is talking about taxes in a functioning, non-corrupt society. The Earth is a place we all live in, and governments were established to meet some of our basic needs like protection and stability. Together we decided to use money–currency, for the exchange of goods and whatnot. In order to ensure that everyone has a good quality of living, the government collects taxes in the form of money, to build roads, provide healthcare, etc. It’s completely reasonable to pay taxes to the government, especially when it comes back to us in so many pleasant ways. The US wouldn’t have to have so many people donating shittons of money every year if the government collected more taxes and used it on more useful things (ex. not the military). Democratic socialism for the win.
